4 min read 6 days ago
Cloudflare provides a free SSL certificate, allowing you to secure your website with HTTPS without needing to purchase an SSL certificate. This guide walks you through the steps to enable Cloudflare’s Free SSL for your domain.
Prerequisites:
You must have access to your domain management.
- Domain Registrar Access — You should be able to log in to the platform where your domain is registered (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.).
- DNS Settings Control — You need permissions to modify DNS records such as A records, CNAME, MX, TXT, and NS records. These are essential for pointing your domain to a hosting provider, setting up emails, or integrating with third-party services.
Step 1: Sign Up for a Cloudflare Account
- Go to Cloudflare’s website and click Sign Up.
- Enter your email address and create a password or Sign Up via Google.
- Click Create Account.
